Exhibition: Notions of Balance, Heather Dornan-Wilson

Artist Heather Dornan Wilson joins actor and theatre maker Stephen Beggs, writer Jan Carson, psychologist Dr Victoria Simms and choreographer Suzannah McCreight to explore issues around balance, tension, calibration and equilibrium, relating to our emotional wellbeing.

Brene Brown suggests that we are 'hardwired for struggle'. As human beings, we recognise the all too familiar oscillations of success and failure. Our worlds pivot around the demands of work, relationships, responsibilities and urgency, leaving us feeling off kilter and longing for peace and stability. Is the holy grail of a holistic and finely-tuned equilibrium a myth? Or is the notion of balance a tangible possibility?

The sculptural exhibition, part of the NI Science Festival, will take place in Framewerk, 10 Newtownards Road, Belfast BT4 3EL from the 19th February - 3rd March (closing event and Artist talk on Sat 3rd March at 2pm).
